DirectX 11 is all about the experience. At least, PowerColor seem to believe so, taking it to the extreme.

It’s a technology that you can’t be told about, you have to breathe it, smell it, taste it, feel it, sleep with it, caress it……..Err, I’ve gone too far.
World leading graphics card manufacturer PowerColor is hosting a competition giving you the chance to win a PowerColor PCS+ HD5870 graphics card as the first place prize, whilst three runner ups will receive a PCS+ HD5770 graphics card each.

PowerColor have tried to make this competition fun and exciting, they claim the rules are simple and just involve you submitting a picture of your first DirectX 11 experience. They want to see your reaction, the way you’re feeling, the emotion harnessed into a picture. I mean, everyone has a camera on call when they buy a product with new technology, right? No? Just me then.

PowerColor have also allowed pictures that show your view of DirectX 11 in the most artistic way possible. I can only imagine what some people are going to come up with using their mad Photoshop skillz.

The contest starts today (18th January 2010) to 31st January 2010. Communities will then cast their votes between 1st February 2010 and 3rd February 2010 and the winner will be announced after the worldwide voting on 12th February 2010

As a teaser, we thought we would show you PowerColor’s very own picture to give you an idea of what they are looking for. I guess i can’t rent the Apache any more, as they already did my idea.
